Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical support for hardware, software, database, custom software and network-related issues escalated from Tier 1.
- Administer and maintain servers (Windows, Linux, Solaris), desktops and applications, printers and peripheral equipment, Active Directory and virtual environments (VMware).
- Perform system health checks, monitor system performance and ensure backups are running for restoration capability.
- Aid in onboarding/offboarding of users, including account setup and access controls.
- Document technical issues, solutions, and processes in ticketing systems and knowledge bases.
Qualifications
- Must have an active TS/SCI with Poly.
- Must have at least an IAT Level II Certification: Such as Security+.
- Willing to participate in weekly day support hours rotation - 7-3, 8-4, 9-5, 10-6 and an after-hours on-call support rotation.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in a system or IT support role.
- Strong knowledge and experience with command line in a Unix Environment, Windows Server, Windows desktop, Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware).
- Proficiency in troubleshooting custom software, network connectivity and performance issues.
- Strong understanding of security best practices and data protection.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desired
- Scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Python, Bash, etc.).
- Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, HelpNow, Jira, Confluence).
- Exposure to ITIL practices or formal change management best practices.
- Prior experience supporting real-time operations/Mission Critical infrastructure.
- Familiarity with CISCO switches and firewalls.
- Familiarity and experience with infrastructure monitoring tools (SCOM preferred).
Pay
The Proposed Salary Range For This Position Is $86,600 - $181,800.
