The Connecticut Technical Education and Career System (CTECS) is a leading force in Career Technical Education (CTE) in Connecticut, operating 17 diploma-granting technical high schools, one technical education center, and two airframe mechanics and aircraft maintenance programs. CTECS provides a direct employment pipeline for high school students and adult learners.

About the role

As an Academic Subjects Substitute Teacher, you will educate students in academic and trade coursework in the absence of a regular instructor. Substitutes play a key role in the education process and are valued members of our team.

Pay

Substitute daily rate of pay is $200.00.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree (must submit a copy of your degree or unofficial transcript)
  • Completion of required DCF and criminal background checks
  • If you have current or previous employment in a position with contact with children, you must complete an Educational Employer Verification Form
  • List any related endorsements, certifications, or licensure credentials in your application

Qualifications

To qualify for educational credits, the institution must be accredited. If the institution is outside the U.S., you must provide documentation from a recognized USA accrediting service confirming foreign education equivalency.
