Thrift Store Volunteer
About the Organization
St. Vincent de Paul of Contra Costa County (SVdP CC) was founded in 1964. We provide direct aid services at our Family Resource Center in Pittsburg and throughout the county through 28 branches of service. Our programs offer food, clothing, shelter, rental assistance, medical services, employment, and workforce development to neighbors in Contra Costa County. We collaborate with several Bay Area agencies, including Loaves & Fishes, Catholic Charities, RotaCare Bay Area, Winter Nights Shelter, One Warm Coat, and the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano Counties.
About the Role
The St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Stores provide earned income to support our safety-net programs. Volunteers assist with sorting donations and displaying them on the sales floor. All COVID-19 safety protocols are followed.
