About the role

The Sales Associate will perform a wide variety of duties in the store and the production area, maintaining order, creating and sustaining a pleasant and hospitable work environment, and maintaining good customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, efficient service to all customers and donors
• Assist with daily store operations including cashiering, stocking, sorting, pricing, and sales floor upkeep
• Handle donations with care, ensuring items are sorted, tagged, and placed on the sales floor in proper categories and color order
• Maintain merchandise displays and follow the rag-out calendar to rotate stock
• Assist in cleaning and maintaining a safe, clutter-free store environment
• Follow all cash handling, security, and operational procedures
• Report theft, customer concerns, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management immediately
• Provide guidance to community service workers and volunteers as directed by the Supervisor
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager, Warehouse Supervisor, or Corps Officer

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred
• Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and manage multiple tasks
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to lift, carry, and move donations and merchandise as required
• Flexibility to assist across store functions (cashier, sorting, stocking, cleaning)
