About the role

Small Beginnings Childcare Center is a new center that provides care for infants, toddlers and young preschoolers. We are looking for caring, patient and creative workers who have a passion for working with young children. This caregiver will primarily care for children who are two- and three-year-olds, and encourage the growth and development of each child in a compassionate way.

Responsibilities

• Caring for and interacting with preschoolers
• Reading, singing, communicating, playing indoors and outdoors
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment
• Cleaning and disinfecting toys, materials and surfaces in the classroom
• Maintaining the safety and well-being of all children in care
• Planning and implementing age-appropriate activities

Requirements

• 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Able to pass background check and fingerprint scan
• Provide Health Assessment and TB test
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs., frequently bend and sit at level of children
• 6 months or more experience in a licensed childcare facility

Skills

• ECD 101 Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education/Development (preferred)
• First Aid/CPR certification (preferred)
