Threat Management Specialist

Role Overview

The role involves leading and shaping Threat Management and Managed Detection and Response (MDR) services, including detection engineering, threat hunting, incident response, automation, and service modernization. You will improve cyber defense outcomes through integrated telemetry, enhanced detection, and automated response processes while serving as a trusted advisor to executive and client stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee security platform operations across endpoint, network, cloud, data, email, SIEM, and SOAR technologies to ensure governance and 24/7 operational readiness.
• Build and mature managed security services by establishing operating models, onboarding frameworks, governance, and automation workflows.
• Communicate security strategies and platform health to executive and client stakeholders.
• Lead, mentor, and develop high‑performing teams of analysts, engineers, and threat hunters.
• Manage 24/7 security operations, incident response, and SLA/KPI performance.
• Advise senior leadership on threat‑informed defense strategies and MDR operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of eight years in cybersecurity with leadership experience in security operations, threat management, or managed security services.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC (preferred).
• Deep expertise in NDR, detection engineering, SIEM/SOAR integration, and threat‑informed defense strategies.
• Experience managing 24/7 security operations and incident response.
• Proven ability to manage SLA/KPI performance and advise senior leadership.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and knowledge of MDR operations, including EDR/XDR, NDR, and cyber service delivery.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Must be authorized to work without sponsorship.
