About the role
Under general direction, provides administrative support and assists with all aspects and activities related to the department's Third Party Surrogacy Program.
Responsibilities
- Manages coordination of Intended Parent and Gestational Surrogacy patient care and patient education for the Third Party Program (TPP).
- Coordinates care including, but not limited to, preliminary testing and screening, and scheduling consultations of Third Party patients, including Intended Parents (IPs) and their Gestational Carriers (GCs).
- Serves as primary liaison between IPs, GCs and their partners, Surrogacy Agencies, Surrogacy Attorneys, and related departments, including labs and billing.
- Maintains compliance with policies and procedures related to Third Party Reproduction, including but not limited to federal, state and institutional regulations.
- Assists with compliance and program-wide audits; ensures HIPAA and billing compliance.
- Works closely with other TPP coordinators (Donor Egg, and Recipient & Psychological Services coordinators) to triage TPP patients and assist with all levels of their screening and care coordination.
- Attends weekly Third Party Program (Donor Egg, Sperm, Embryo, Surrogacy, Psych, Genetics) meetings.
- Cross-trained to cover other Third Party Coordinators when they are out of office.
- Works closely with key managers on optimizing the patient experience and troubleshoots problem areas.
- Identifies opportunities and makes recommendations to improve operations as it relates to TPP.
- Educates patients starting reproductive treatments to create embryos for use in a gestational carrier.
- Serves as liaison between CRM, IPs and sperm banks to ensure frozen, tested sperm is obtained and oocyte providers are tested and screened appropriately.
- Responsible for education and coordination of Intended Parents as Directed Donors using their own gametes, either egg or sperm, and Intended parents using true Directed Donors, either egg or sperm, regarding regulatory and program requirements.
- Coordinates care for directed sperm donors by scheduling appointments and ensuring documentation is complete.
- Refers directed egg donors to the Donor Egg Coordinator.
- Responsible for counseling recipients of directed sperm donation regarding regulatory and program requirements.
- Coordinates care for recipients of directed sperm donors by scheduling appointments and ensuring documentation is complete.
- Contributes to development of directed sperm donation program.
- Responsible for counseling patients intending to use a gestational carrier in the future regarding regulatory and program requirements.

Education
High School Diploma
Experience
Approximately 3 years of related experience.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to pay close attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive issues.
