About the role

St. Vincent Martyr School, located in Madison, NJ, seeks a full-time self-contained 3rd Grade Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.

Responsibilities

• Supports and upholds Gospel values and the philosophy of Catholic education.
• Recognizes and supports the unique Catholic Mission of the school by speaking, acting, and instructing in a manner consistent with the teachings of the Catholic Church.
• Learns and implements the Diocese of Paterson curricula standards.
• Develops daily lessons and promotes a safe, conducive learning environment.
• Conducts ongoing assessments and modifies instructional methods to meet individual student needs.
• Administers NWEA MAP tests and analyzes results to inform instruction.
• Acquires professional knowledge through seminars, workshops, and meetings.
• Maintains accurate and complete records, grades, and reports for all student activities, achievement, and attendance.
• Encourages parental involvement and ensures effective communication with students and parents.
• Coordinates with other staff to evaluate student learning and participate in faculty meetings and committees.
• Models high expectations for students, staff, and faculty.

Requirements

• New Jersey State Teacher Certification as an elementary teacher.
• Practicing Catholic.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Elementary Education or a related discipline.
• Masters degree in related area preferred.
