Responsibilities

• Complete the Caterpillar curriculum at Owens Community College.
• Maintain a strong GPA and graduate successfully.
• Represent Ohio CAT professionally on campus.
• Train in the shop under experienced mentors.
• Perform real‑world diesel repair and maintenance tasks.
• Progress to more advanced assignments over time.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (required before program start).
• Basic diesel knowledge or mechanical aptitude.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and use necessary equipment.
• Comfortable using computers and diagnostic tools.

Physical Requirements

• Lift/carry up to 40 lb; pull up to 50 lb.
• Stand, sit, climb stairs, and enter/exit machinery.
• Frequent hand/wrist/finger movement.
• Work environments range from quiet offices to loud shop settings.
