About the role

TÜV SÜD is dedicated to advancing technological innovations through testing, auditing, inspecting, and advising. This role involves conducting infrared thermographic surveys on various systems and delivering comprehensive reports with actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct infrared thermographic surveys on electrical, mechanical, and process systems using IR cameras and condition monitoring tools.
• Analyze and interpret high-level electrical diagrams and manufacturing process drawings.
• Deliver clear and timely Infrared Survey Reports with actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with client site personnel and TÜV SÜD/GRC teams to assess system health and risks.
• Travel extensively across Kentucky & Tennessee to perform on-site inspections.
• Maintain high standards of safety and compliance with PPE and site-specific protocols.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience as a Maintenance/Reliability Technician or Commercial Electrician.
• Strong communication skills.
• Able to work independently and manage tasks efficiently.
• Certified Infrared Thermographer.
• Certified Ultrasound Operator.
• Military technical background in electrical or infrared systems.
• Proficiency with infrared software and Microsoft Office tools.

Pay

The anticipated hourly base pay range for this part-time position, working less than 30 hours per week, is $30/hour – $42/hour. Actual base pay will be determined based on various factors, including years of relevant experience, training, qualifications, and internal equity.

Schedule

Expectation of 75% travel across Wisconsin & Minnesota with occasional trips to other midwestern states as well as periodic travel nationally.
