About the role
We are looking for Mechanical Engineering candidates that would impress us. Ideal candidates should have:
- A Master of Engineering, Computer Science, or any other relevant field from University
- Significant experience in hardware development and more specifically in mechanical engineering
- A desire to focus in the mechanical field, implement it in a solution, and capture associated trends and concerns
- A true team-player attitude and a love to work within a multidisciplinary environment
- An understanding of the organization's goals and strategies, demonstrating a customer-oriented mindset
- A strong background in mathematics, science, and computer science, with a great knowledge of mechanical laws, norms, and standards
Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Engineering Role within Thales, you will:
- Perform a subset of all the hardware engineering activities applicable to Mechanical Engineering
- Analyse the mechanical needs whatever the used means (e.g. advanced studies, simulations, mock-ups, models, prototypes)
- Describe the Mechanical Functions, Requirements And Development Plan
- Elaborate the data package to be transferred to production
- Work collaboratively with production and procurement to produce cost-effective, easy-to-manufacture mechanical design solutions
- Monitor, plan, and organize mechanical activities to measure and report on the technical progress
- Propose and justify technical, technological, and methodological choices in accordance with the approved mechanical architecture and design
- Monitor compliance of designs against target costs and lead time
Requirements
You have a strong technical background in mathematics, science, and computer science, with a great knowledge of mechanical laws, norms, and standards.
- Mastery of Mechanical technology and proficiency with several related tools, methods, and processes: Mechanical design: DS Catia, DS Solidworks, DS Smarteam, PTC Creo, PTC PDMLink, Siemens NX, Autodesk Autocad CAD Model, Drawings, Bill of Materials, Data Management
- CAD Model, Drawings, Bill of Materials, Data Management
- Mechanical simulation: Ansys Mechanical, DS Abaqus, DS Dymola, MSC Nastran Structural analysis (static, modal analysis, shocks, vibrations), Mechanical tests correlation, Design optimization, Strength analysis
- Mechanical tests: Shocks and vibration tests, Qualification procedure

Pay
€ 41.424,25 - € 51.823,67 VC Target Rate up to 8% CIPI up to 1.822€ Performance Bonus (PDR): up to 4.550€
