Main duties and responsibilities
- Perform all assigned tasks, including the safe, efficient operation of the board lamination equipment and associated equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on all machinery and workspaces in the assigned area of responsibility.
- Understand and manipulate computer software related to the operation of the laminating line.
- Identify conditions which may lead to substandard quality or up-time and initiate the proper corrective action.
- Assist maintenance personnel in the troubleshooting, repair, or preventive maintenance of equipment.
Requirements
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work closely with others in a small team environment
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
- Excellent attendance record
- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Qualifications
- Experience in a board laminating or laminate flooring production plant
- Associate's degree in a mechanical related field
