Lamination Operator

About the role
The Packer is responsible for safely packaging finished products while ensuring quality standards and production requirements are met. This position supports production by preparing packaging materials, inspecting product quality, performing required documentation, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. The Packer works closely with production operators during machine start-ups, shutdowns, product changes, and routine manufacturing operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The Lamination Operator ensures the proper, efficient, and safe operation of the lamination machine, documents and communicates all production data to the department Manager, and rotates between all positions on the lamination line including sorting, inspecting, assembling, and packaging of product.
Responsibilities
- Work safely, complete daily safety audits, prevent accidents, and increase the safety environment of the work area
- Work in a self-directed/team environment
- Understand and troubleshoot all incoming material, processes, and equipment
- Maintain housekeeping of your work area; ensure a clean and organized handoff from shift to shift
- Operate material conveyance machinery
- Identify quality aspects of products and processes to meet customer needs
- Align foam with composite or vinyl panel and understand assembly process
- Work cooperatively with supervisor, lead, and co-workers
- Understand adhesive process and assist with handling glue drums
- Assist/perform and understand profile changeovers and line set-ups
- Perform proper startup/shutdown procedures for the line
