About the role
This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin’s Blue Moon landers and related products. The goal is to build sustainable infrastructure for transporting crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.
Responsibilities
- Ownership of thermal subsystem artifacts such as the master equipment list, and other documents
- Ensuring alignment and synchronization of thermal subsystem design data with interfacing subsystems such as Electrical Power, Liquids, Gas and GNC
- Documenting and automating processes for updating interface control data across subsystems
- Reviewing system level CONOPS information and distilling into useable datasets for consumption by the thermal analysis team
- Collecting and documenting hardware temperature limits for hardware across the vehicle
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering or comparable disciplines
- Demonstrated understanding of aerospace design, development and verification processes
- Understanding of spacecraft thermal design concepts and thermal control techniques
- 2 years of experience in relevant industry role(s)
- Demonstrated ability to drive solutions and overcome challenges and obstacles encountered during the execution of assigned tasks
Qualifications
- Master's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering or comparable disciplines (preferred)
- 4 years of experience in relevant industry role(s) (preferred)
- High level communication and organizational skills
- Demonstrated experience working interface control
- Demonstrated experience with spacecraft thermal control hardware design and development

Base Pay Range For CA applicants is $107,136.00 - $149,990.40 CO applicants is $98,208.00 - $137,491.20 WA applicants is $107,136.00 - $149,990.40 Other Site Ranges May Differ
