About the Role
As an Advanced Analysis & Integration Engineer, you will work within the Advanced T/H Analysis and Integration team and interface with the greater APX organization to perform modeling and safety analysis activities for advanced reactor designs. You will report to the Safety Analysis Manager and be located at our global headquarters in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. The position is hybrid; you will be onsite two days per week.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for assigned work performed in the safety analysis of advanced reactor safety analysis consistent with regulatory requirements.
- Perform modeling and analysis of thermal hydraulic systems including CFD and other standard and non-standard T/H codes.
- Develop technical documentation and presentations related to these calculations and analyses.
- Work as a cross-functional team (i.e., system and component design, testing, manufacturing, and materials) to solve challenging technical problems to progress the advanced reactor designs.
- Work and communicate with technical leads and project managers in coordination of activities associated with assigned work scope.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Nuclear, or Mechanical) or recognized equivalent experience required.
- Knowledge in thermal hydraulics and applied fluid transport.
Skills
- Beneficial knowledge of heat and mass transfer and numerical thermal analysis.
- Model or simulation experience with thermal hydraulic codes and, in particular, codes like ANSYS CFD including FLUENT.
Pay
The base salary range for this position, dependent upon experience, qualifications, and skills, is estimated to be $58,400 to $73,000 per year.
