Therapy Technician-Full-Time
About the role
The Children’s Institute of Pittsburgh is seeking a Therapy Technician to join our dedicated team. This full-time position operates Monday through Friday at the Squirrel Hill Campus, located at 1405 Shady Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15217.
Responsibilities
- Prepares patient treatment activities prior to sessions and cleans/organizes treatment area after sessions.
- Aids in patient treatment, including transfers and group activities, under the direct supervision of a therapist.
- Safely transports patients to and from treatment area.
- Acts as the Lifeguard for all Aqua Therapy sessions and the second on-site person for therapy sessions in gyms, treatment areas, and pools.
- Organizes and maintains order in treatment and storage areas.
- Identifies low inventory and supply needs and completes restocking.
- Notifies supervisor of malfunctioning equipment or equipment needing repair.
- Completes filing and copying, answering phones, and assists with scheduling.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Basic computer skills.
- Current and valid certification in CPR and First Aid required (training provided).
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Clearances required: Act 73 FBI, Act 34 Criminal Clearance, and Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance.
