Therapy Services Specialist (Bilingual Spanish)

Location: Virtual – full-time remote work with required in-person training sessions when indicated. Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance from the posting location(s).

About the Role

Under the guidance of an occupational therapist, collaborate with a managed care organization to support persons aging in place receiving home or community-based services.

Responsibilities

• Perform telephonic and/or virtual assessments to identify participant needs.
• Provide recommendations to the managed care organization (MCO) for type and hours of supportive services required.
• Conduct objective assessments for program participation to determine the appropriate level of support and services required.
• Obtain participant history to inform the comprehensive assessment.
• Complete assessments annually or more frequently as needed in accordance with applicable program requirements and participant needs.
• Educate program participants and MCO representatives on options for home modifications, durable medical equipment (DME), assistive technology, or other adaptive equipment.
• Assist the clinical team with recommendations for equipment and services as needed.
• Collaborate with the support team to report observations and outcomes.
• Document all member encounters per documentation standards.

Requirements

• Graduate of a college-level program in physical therapy, occupational therapy, or an accredited two-year program for a Physical Therapist Assistant or Occupational Therapist Assistant.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in social services or healthcare field; or any combination of education and experience that provides an equivalent background.
• Current active, valid, and unrestricted license or certification as a physical therapist assistant or occupational therapist assistant in the applicable state.
• Certification and/or licensure appropriate to field of specialty as required.
• Bilingual (Spanish) required.

Pay

For candidates working in Virginia, the salary range for this position is $29.27 – $38.46 per hour. The salary offered is based on legitimate, non-discriminatory factors set by the company.
