About the role
The successful candidate will join a dynamic team of medical physicists at OMPC, a leading provider of medical physics consulting services in Indiana, Ohio, and West Virginia. OMPC is recognized as a "Great Place to Work" and "Best Workplaces in Healthcare."
Responsibilities
- Perform weekly and monthly radiation measurements, as well as yearly calibration on all treatment units.
- Maintain regulatory agency records and reports.
- Analyze alternative treatment plans and supervise dosimetry treatment planning functions.
- Implement assessment/treatment and care based on the developmental stages of the patient.
- Perform additional duties, as needed.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree and/or PhD in Medical Physics.
- A board certification by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Medical Physics, or board eligibility as demonstrated by graduation from a CAMPEP accredited residency in therapy physics.
- 2+ years of clinical Therapy Medical Physics experience preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interpret regulations.
- A willingness to go “above and beyond” for clients and fellow colleagues.
- Demonstrate initiative, organization, and ownership of daily tasks and projects.
- Ability to problem solve by seeking, developing, and implementing viable solutions.
