About the role

This position is responsible for providing clinical and commercial support to Vantive customers in multiple hospital call points, including Critical Care, Anesthesia, and the Emergency Department. The role focuses on ongoing account development, education, training, and growing existing business. The product portfolio includes innovative technologies and therapies for continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), multi-organ extracorporeal support therapy, additional dialysis services, and hemodynamic monitoring. This critical role is considered the expert in CRRT services and hemodynamic monitoring in the hospital space. Ideal candidates will reside in San Antonio, Austin, or the Rio Grande Valley.

Responsibilities

  • Grow CRRT therapy in existing contracted accounts, focusing on high-growth potential accounts within the territory.
  • Work with the Territory Business Manager (TBM) to understand account needs, process educational requirements, and establish key champions in the account.
  • Develop a consultative role to promote therapy development, facilitate relationship building, and provide necessary customer service within the current customer base.
  • Act as lead for incremental machine sales and key CRRT product penetration.
  • Coordinate key activities with the TBM to ensure continuity of strategy and prioritization.
  • Consistently search for and coordinate all growth and expansion opportunities within the territory.
  • Solicit, develop, and maintain successful relationships with key healthcare professionals in assigned accounts.
  • Enhance therapy utilization and drive Vantive value in the acute space.
  • Assist the Renal Clinical Educator – CRRT & HD with logistics and trainings at customer locations.
  • Assist in contract negotiations with the TBM.

Requirements

  • Preferred: BSN plus 3 years’ experience; or RN with critical care medicine (ICU/OR/ED) and 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Candidates without a degree but with 8+ years of medical device, hemodynamic monitoring, and/or CRRT clinical experience will also be considered.
  • Prior experience selling to Hemodynamic and/or Patient Monitoring and Capital Equipment markets, and “Conceptual Selling” to physicians and hospitals in critical care settings is highly desirable.
  • 2 or more years of sales experience required, preferably in the medical device industry, and/or a minimum of 2 years of experience delivering CRRT in the hospital ICU setting.
  • Critical Care or Dialysis Nursing background preferred.
  • Strong, demonstrated expertise in product and therapy knowledge.
  • Demonstrated ability to take a positive, proactive approach to solving complex and/or unusual clinical or technical problems.
  • Good interpersonal, communicative, and oral skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to start new therapy programs.
  • Proven expertise in product and therapy knowledge.
  • Demonstrated ability and desire to teach; demonstrated self-confidence and effectiveness in dealing with a wide variety of student types.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage pricing contracts and renewals.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and matrixed organization.
  • Computer knowledge required (Microsoft Office).
  • Ability to interact professionally and effectively with customers, physicians, nurses, and other medical staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact in a positive, proactive manner with customers during stressful situations.
  • Demonstrated top industry performance.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% overnight.

Pay

The estimated base salary for this position is $104,000 - $115,000 annually. The estimated range reflects an anticipated salary range for the position. Individual pay is based upon location, skills, expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. For commercial roles, the estimated range does not include potential commission or other incentives.
