Therapy Department Assistant
Job Summary and Qualifications
Assures satisfaction of customers, (patients, visitors, physician and staff)
Assists therapists with patient care
Participates and understands department PI activities
Prepares and maintains area for patient treatment
Maintains department supplies and inventories
Demonstrates effective communication
Demonstrates an understanding of hospital and departmental policies and procedures
Promotes cost effective unit operations
Provides support to the staff and director
Complies with professional, regulatory, governmental and departmental standards
Maintains patient schedules based on department standards
Qualifications
- Required: At least High School graduate or equivalent
- Required: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider
- Preferred: Experience in a therapy area; Clerical skills; Intermediate computer skills/Proficient in use of Microsoft Office; Exposure to medical terminology
