Primary Responsibilities
- Support operations of Avivo and YouthLink to ensure high quality, mission-driven services.
- Conduct thorough diagnostic assessments.
- Ensure clients in need of medical care, psychiatric care and/or medication management receive timely access to needed resources and services (internally or externally).
- Develop treatment plans based on need determined within the diagnostic assessment process.
- Provide clinical services through therapy techniques that meet state, professional and ethical standards for mental health rule 29 services.
- Assess individual’s stability and level of service need in the recovery process.
- Assess individual needs and make appropriate referral and service coordination for community-based services.
- Complete crisis assessments and plans as needed.
- Provide ongoing training and consultations for YouthLink staff.
- Provide de-escalation, support, and crisis therapy.
- Participate in YouthLink consultation, staff meetings, and program development.
- Carefully coordinate care with internal and/or external providers as needed.
- Demonstrate commitment to SAMSHA’s definition of recovery and recovery principles.
Qualifications
- Required Education and Experience: Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling and Psychotherapy, Family Therapy or related field.
- Licensure: Licensed Mental Health Professional. LICSW, LPCC, or LMFT preferred, or must have a graduate license and be in the process of working towards independent licensure.
- Work experience: A minimum of 1-2 years in the provision of direct services to individuals in a behavioral health setting/role.
- Experience with and/or commitment to working in a diverse, continuum of services in a fast-paced, growing organization.
- Experience managing compliance with licensing and certification requirements pertaining to the delivery of government contracted fee for service and behavioral health professionals.
- Experience with and/or a demonstrated commitment to developing and delivering culturally responsive harm reduction, trauma informed services.
- Experience with electronic health records.
- Desirable: 1 year of professional experience in a community mental health setting preferred.
- Experience with programs serving individuals with dual diagnoses who have a history of long-term homelessness.
- Experience with operations management in a behavioral health setting.
