Therapist - Substance Use Counseling

We are seeking a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor to join our Substance Use Disorder Services team. The general purpose of this position is to provide co-occurring substance abuse counseling services. Essential Functions Include Provide clinical mental health services to co-occurring substance use clients Facilitate and co-facilitate individual, group, family, and crisis therapiesCompetencies and ability to provide empirically-supported psychotherapy to address a wide range of clinical and behavioral issuesProvide intakes, diagnostic evaluations, and updates to evaluationsDevelop and implement a treatment planComplete a Behavior Intervention/Crisis PlanComplete third party billing requirements such as obtaining prior authorizations and communicating with the billing office as necessaryCollaborate regularly with both staff and community partners including: schools, social services, court services, medical agencies, mental health providers, managed care organizations and the community at largeParticipate in the referral processMaintain necessary written records in accordance with NPMHC policies and procedures and other applicable regulationsProvide crisis intervention services as requested Qualifications Include This position may be filled by a mental health professional licensed in Minnesota (LICSW, LMFT, LP, PMHNP, LPCC)Current First Aid and CPR Certification from the American Heart Association or willingness to obtain upon hireAt least one year of work experience in direct service to individuals with substance use problems or one year of work experience in the management or administration of direct service to individuals with substance use problemsA Master's degree in the behavioral sciences Education or experience in co-occurring disordersTravel is a function of this position; ability to operate a motor vehicle along with a valid driver’s license is required.
