Therapist-Speech II (Pediatric)

About the role

Provides comprehensive speech-language pathology services by evaluating, assessing, and developing treatment plans to improve patient functional abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients using subjective and objective data to determine needs.
• Develop and implement personalized care plans aligned with established goals.
• Deliver therapy sessions, document interventions, and monitor progress for effectiveness.
• Conduct discharge planning, including patient/family education and referrals.
• Supervise clinical students and support staff, contributing to staff development.
• Participate in quality improvement and healthcare delivery activities.
• Communicate findings and coordinate care within professional standards and policies.
• Provide leadership support and serve on hospital committees as a resource.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of progressive rehabilitation experience.
• Certificate of Clinical Competency from ASHA.
• Basic computer literacy; advanced training preferred.
• Licensure as an SLP, BLS certification within 14 days of hire, and CCC required.
