Therapist - Radiation

About the role

The Radiation Therapist performs procedures and treatments aligned with radiation oncology standards to assist in disease diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities include applying appropriate techniques and positioning for optimal outcomes, administering treatment plans, and ensuring accurate documentation in compliance with policies. Maintains equipment and treatment areas in a safe, clean condition and actively participates in performance improvement activities to uphold patient care standards. Completes assigned goals effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiation therapy procedures per established principles and techniques.
• Administer treatment plans accurately.
• Ensure proper documentation and maintain equipment and workspaces.
• Participate in quality improvement activities to ensure high standards of patient care.

Qualifications

• Recent experience as a Radiation Therapist preferred.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Therapy (T) or a recent graduate awaiting registry, with proof required within 60 days.
• State licensing if mandated by law.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.

Skills

• Basic computer literacy skills preferred.
