Role Overview The Radiation Therapist performs procedures and treatments in accordance with radiation oncology standards to support diagnosis and treatment of diseases. They are responsible for administering treatment plans, ensuring proper patient positioning, and maintaining equipment and treatment areas for safety and efficiency. The role involves accurate documentation, participation in performance improvement initiatives, and ensuring adherence to hospital policies. Qualifications & Skills Recent experience as a Radiation Therapist preferred.Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Therapy (T) or a recent graduate awaiting registry; proof of registry required within 60 days.State licensure if mandated by the state.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.Basic computer literacy skills. Key Responsibilities Apply radiation principles and techniques for optimal procedures/treatments.Complete treatment documentation and maintain equipment and workspaces.Participate in quality improvement activities to uphold care standards.
