Therapist, Physical Per Diem

About the role

The Per Diem Physical Therapist serves as a flexible, as-needed member of the Rehabilitation Services team, providing coverage across outpatient and/or inpatient practice settings to support patient access and continuity of care. This role helps address staffing needs related to vacations, leaves of absence, vacancies, weekend and holiday coverage, and other operational demands.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in outpatient and/or inpatient settings.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care plans.
• Maintain competency within designated specialty areas.
• Support patient access and continuity of care during periods of staff shortage.

Requirements

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state(s) where practice will occur.
• Experience in outpatient and/or inpatient physical therapy settings.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Passing scores on the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE).
• Current CPR certification.

Skills

• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practice and patient-centered care.
• Proficiency in using electronic health records and other relevant technology.
