About the Role

This is a clinical position within a housing shelter and substance use recovery housing that offers co-located services to support individuals with substance use disorders. The Clinician will provide direct behavioral health services, complete required clinical documentation, and perform casework.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct service in intake, including biopsychosocial assessments related to clients' mental and physical health, substance use/addiction behaviors, and readiness for treatment.
• Complete assessments, 302 crisis support, group/individual therapy, and family therapy.
• Collaborate with staff, psychiatrists, and residents to develop and coordinate treatment plans aligned with participant interests and desires.
• Work with residents and their support systems to produce behavioral, cognitive, and/or emotional changes that meet treatment goals.
• Complete individual treatment/recovery plans every 90 days and maintain clinical records in compliance with regulatory and agency requirements, including crisis and discharge plans.
• Complete administrative documentation as required by agency guidelines, including daily documentation, case notes, request for information, informational summaries, and other correspondence.
• Assess functional, behavioral, and life-skill needs that may impede recovery and make referrals to appropriate supports such as job placement services, educational services, intensive case management, and support groups.
• Provide ongoing program evaluation and recommendations to the Clinical Director for continuous growth and quality improvement.
• Prepare and submit weekly and monthly program reports to the Director.
• Participate in staff meetings, in-service training, staff development, and clinical case conferences as required.
• Conduct community visitation supports, including hospitals and crisis centers.
• Support community outings and events to assist residents with their recovery goals.
• Recommend and make appropriate referrals to other programs within and outside the agency; complete all program documentation forms, including incident reports.
• Travel minimally to assist clients with their recovery goals.
• Attend all scheduled supervision sessions with an immediate supervisor or designee.
• Adhere to all agency policies and act as a role model in policy adherence.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in psychology or social work.
• LCSW, LSW, or LPC preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with adults.
• Experience working with individuals with both mental health and substance use challenges.
