Therapist - Outpatient

Responsibilities

• Engage and assess consumer strengths and needs
• Develop individual service plan to address presenting problems
• Provide individual, family and group therapy addressing identified needs and presenting problems
• Provide crisis intervention when necessary
• Collaborate with other service providers
• Advocate for consumers and families within all systems involved (CSOC, DCPP)
• Provide psychoeducation
• Maintain clinical records
• Submit weekly, monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual reports
• Attend supervision as required
• Attend intra-agency and interagency meetings as required
• Maintain required level of service

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (MA, MS, MSW) in a recognized mental health discipline
• NJ Provisional License LSW/LAC; NJ Clinical License LCSW/LPC, LMFT
• Clinical experience working with individuals, and/or families

Competencies

• Demonstrate knowledge of mental health disorders and treatment procedures
• Provide individual and/or family counseling
• Have proficient clinical writing and typing skills
• Have knowledge of Word and email
• Assess crisis situations and implement proper safety protocols
• Work independently within a team setting
• Demonstrate working knowledge of DSM-IV

Pay

$55,000 USD to $60,000 USD/year

Schedule

40-hour workweek with two evenings onsite until 8 pm per week. Schedule options include 4- or 5-day work week.
