Position Summary

Therapist/LPHA, in collaboration with the Director of Alcohol and Drug Services, Case Managers, and Substance Abuse Counselors, will be responsible for case management, mental health assessment, providing group and individual counseling, and developing an individual treatment plan.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, record, and monitor (weekly basis) client's Individual Treatment Plans to ensure progress toward client's treatment;

  • Conduct Mental Health screenings and assessments;

  • Facilitate co-occurring treatment groups;

  • Provide crisis intervention;

  • Provide clinical support to alcohol and drug counselors.

Administration

  • Maintain appropriate documentation regarding the client's progress, services received in individual resident case files;

  • Clock in/out and complete time-sensitive reports to referring entities and/or agents;

  • Coordinate and schedule appropriate client services with internal and external entities to meet clients' needs and treatment goals.

Reporting & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with organization, contractual, local, state, and federal mandates, including confidentiality laws.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Sitting at a desk for sometimes long and continuous periods of time;

  • Answering or making calls on the telephone for sometimes long and continuous periods of time;

  • Using a keyboard to perform research, and to communicate through written means for sometimes long and continuous periods of time;

  • Looking at a computer monitor for sometimes long and continuous periods of time;

  • Frequent standing, walking, reaching, lifting, and stooping;

  • Exposure to moderate to loud noise level.

Qualifications

  • Master's in Social Work, Counseling, or LCSW or MFT, required.

  • CAARR and/or CAADAC certification preferred.

  • 3 - 5 years in case management, mental health, dual diagnosis, and substance abuse fields.

Education

  • Excellent verbal and written communication.

  • Bilingual skills of any language, particularly, Spanish, preferred.

  • Substance abuse treatment experience in a group setting, preferred.

  • Strong critical thinking when making a treatment plan.

  • Strong ability to actively listen.

Key Skills Set

  • High proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Clarity.

Equipment and Applications

  • Working knowledge of all standard office equipment.
