THERAPIST INTERN

About the Role

Willow Springs Center is seeking a talented and dynamic Therapist Intern to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. We seek high-performing, compassionate professionals dedicated to impacting the lives of youth ages 6 to 17 years. Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services to patients in our Inpatient Program, including assessments, treatment planning, and documentation in patient charts.
• Serve as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team and document interactions with patients and families, as well as patient progress toward treatment goals.
• Engage in discharge planning activities.
• Provide group, individual, and family therapy activities.
• Collaborate with community providers, social service agencies, and other therapeutic programs.
• Perform crisis intervention and address hostile behaviors using facility-approved interventions.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a similar field.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health treatment setting preferred.
• DBT training is a plus.
• Must possess licensure as an LCSW-Intern, LCPC-Intern, or MFT-Intern. Evidence of licensure must be submitted at the time of interview.
• If offered the position, the applicant must obtain an LCSW or LCPC license within 6 months of completing intern hours to maintain employment.
