Purpose Statement
Perform supervised individual, group and family therapy, supervision, crisis intervention, and consultation/outreach.
Essential Functions
- Assist clinicians in developing and implementing treatment plans with goals that are measurable, attainable and ensure success based upon patient’s clinical assessments and face-to-face interviews.
- Absorb and analyze patient’s progress or setbacks during regular patient reviews and make adjustment recommendations to support successful transitions.
- Complete clinical documentation under the guidance of a licensed clinician.
- Advanced students may have the opportunity to work with patients doing assessments, crisis interventions and create/run their own groups.
- Minimum time commitment is as required by the Intern/student to fulfill educational requirements.
- Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always.
- When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints.
- Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.
Other Functions
Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
Education/Experience/Skill Requirements
- Working towards a Master’s Degree in Social Work or related counseling field from an accredited Master’s program.
- Currently eligible for supervision leading to LCSW, LPC or LCPC.
- CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
- First aid may be required based on state or facility.
Licenses/Designations/Certifications
- Licensure or certification for counseling, as required by the state in which the facility operates.
