Therapist - Inpatient

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions
• Assess patients' needs
• Develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide counseling and support using evidence-based techniques
• Educate patients about their conditions and treatment options
• Document patient progress and maintain detailed records
• Collaborate with other professionals to coordinate care
• Adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain confidentiality
• Participate in continuing education to stay updated on best practices
• Report and document suspected cases of abuse and neglect
• Communicate assertively and accurately
• Support changes in staffing and scheduling assignments
• Participate in clinical initiatives and projects
• Ensure compliance with regulatory agency requirements
• Support patient safety and facility safety

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Professional Counseling, or Family Therapy from an accredited school
• Experience in health care and psychiatric settings preferred
• In-training as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC-IT), Marriage and Family Therapist Training License (MFT-TL), Advance Practice Social Work (APSW) or equivalent in state practicing
• Substance use specialty authorization applicable to the state hired in is required
• Knowledge of therapeutic intervention and techniques for all age groups, as well as the dynamics of human growth and behavior
• Compliance with RCC and CBRF training and certifications

Qualifications

• Professional licensure in the state of employment
• Current and active driver's license (preferred)
