Responsibilities
- Provides crisis intervention and assessment of clients for the Crisis Center.
- Determines client needs and makes recommendations and referrals to appropriate level of care.
- Assesses clients via telehealth, conducting assessments within 30 minutes and documenting within 24 hours.
- Establishes an intervention plan with client participation, specifying immediate treatment needs and follow-up.
- Refers clients to the Crisis Center’s case management program.
- Handles complex cases and works on-call, Monday through Friday, with availability from 5:00 PM to 8:00 AM on weekdays and entire day coverage on weekends.
- Responds to crisis calls within 30 minutes during on-call hours.
- Dependable and punctual, adhering to scheduled appointments and attendance.
- Refers clients to other Heartland Family Service programs and community services.
- Maintains clinical records, ensuring timely and complete documentation.
- Completes required reports and statistics accurately and promptly.
- Displays a courteous and caring attitude towards clients, volunteers, and visitors.
- Collaborates with program area staff, volunteers, and other Agency staff.
- Participates in ongoing training and development opportunities.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage & Family Therapy.
- Two years or more experience.
- Nebraska licensed required - LMHC or LISW.

Pay
$140 per week stipend, plus $125 per assessment completed.
