Responsibilities

  • Provides crisis intervention and assessment of clients for the Crisis Center.
  • Determines client needs and makes recommendations and referrals to appropriate level of care.
  • Assesses clients via telehealth, conducting assessments within 30 minutes and documenting within 24 hours.
  • Establishes an intervention plan with client participation, specifying immediate treatment needs and follow-up.
  • Refers clients to the Crisis Center’s case management program.
  • Handles complex cases and works on-call, Monday through Friday, with availability from 5:00 PM to 8:00 AM on weekdays and entire day coverage on weekends.
  • Responds to crisis calls within 30 minutes during on-call hours.
  • Dependable and punctual, adhering to scheduled appointments and attendance.
  • Refers clients to other Heartland Family Service programs and community services.
  • Maintains clinical records, ensuring timely and complete documentation.
  • Completes required reports and statistics accurately and promptly.
  • Displays a courteous and caring attitude towards clients, volunteers, and visitors.
  • Collaborates with program area staff, volunteers, and other Agency staff.
  • Participates in ongoing training and development opportunities.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage & Family Therapy.
  • Two years or more experience.
  • Nebraska licensed required - LMHC or LISW.

  • Experience working with a minimum of supervision.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills.

  • Availability for weekday evenings, overnight, and weekends.

Pay

$140 per week stipend, plus $125 per assessment completed.
