Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte, NC is seeking purpose-driven Therapists to join our Behavioral Health Team. This role supports the quality of life for every patient within a collaborative care environment.
Schedule
8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday
Responsibilities
- Provide complete patient assessments, plan for therapeutic interventions, and coordinate appropriate follow-up care
- Implement treatment plans, coordinate the treatment process, and manage discharge planning
- Uphold and demonstrate the Novant Mission, Vision, and Values
Requirements
- Education: Graduate Degree required; Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field
- Experience: 2 years serving individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders
- Licensure/Certification:
- Licensed Clinical Mental Health Clinician, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Clinical Psychologist (required for most roles; not required for substance use therapist roles in Intensive Outpatient (IOP), Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), or behavioral health hospital-based departments)
- For Substance Use Therapist roles: Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist or Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate (required for hospital-based departments treating substance use disorders)
- NC state-approved curricula for restrictive interventions within 3 months of hire (exempt for strictly remote positions and behavioral health outpatient clinics; outpatient clinicians must complete NEC0170 De-escalation Techniques and Effective Communication Strategies within 3 months)
- Involuntary Commitment Examiner (preferred for Inpatient; required for BH Access within one year of hire)
- Notary Public (preferred)
- Additional Skills:
- Good working knowledge of computers
- Ability to care for Behavioral Health and Substance Abuse populations across all age groups
