Qualifications/Requirements
- Master’s Degree in the field of Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling with five (5) years of proven post-master’s experience in family and children’s services.
- Valid Licensure to practice counseling in Alabama (LCSW, LGSW, ALC, LPC).
- Experience working with at-risk youth and families.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience using an Electronic Health Record (EHR) System is a plus.
- Bilingual (Spanish speaking) is a plus.

Position Requirements
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance coverage are required.
Summary of the Position
Therapist will provide therapeutic support to children and caregivers as needed and outlined in Individualized Service Plans (ISP). Therapist will serve as YAP’s primary point person on the ISP team for assisting in creating a behavior management plan for the child with the other members of the ISP team. Knowledge of substance abuse and/or domestic violence is preferred.
