About the role
Thompson was founded in 1886 as an orphanage and has since expanded to operate across multiple states including the Carolinas, Florida, Tennessee, and Kentucky. Thompson’s continuum of care includes prevention, mental health services, and foster care, all of which are trauma-informed and evidence-based.
Responsibilities
- Provide assessment, counseling, care coordination, and facilitate effective therapeutic interventions built on strong therapeutic relationships with assigned clients.
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments.
- Maintain documentation that meets internal and external standards.
- Collaborate with other providers and community partners to ensure high-quality, trauma-informed care.
- Schedule and conduct therapy sessions and/or comprehensive clinical assessments.
- Manage time independently while meeting documentation and productivity expectations.
- Offer flexible scheduling, including availability for late afternoons or evenings to meet client needs.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 hours a week commitment.
- Master's degree in a human services-related field.
- Provisionally or fully licensed to practice therapy in North Carolina.
- Valid Driver’s License and meet any credentialing, licensing, and privileging standards as it pertains to the department you are in.
