Therapist

About the role

Bashor Children’s Home is looking for a Therapist to join our team. The position is full time non-exempt and requires flexibility. Some evenings and weekends are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide unconditional care and service in a manner consistent with Bashor’s treatment philosophy, solution focused, evidence-based practice and family/client centered.
• Complete case documentation including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, etc.
• Provide individual, family and group therapy for community based clients.
• Contribute to organizational/program development growth and quality improvement efforts agency wide.
• Additional duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary by supervisor.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, counseling or psychology.
• Must have initial license (LSW, LMHCA) and be actively working to achieve clinical license (LCSW, LMCH).
• Must have a valid driver’s license and insurance.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to make effective decisions and time management skills.
• Must be a cooperative team player.
• Must have an understanding of and sensitivity to serving a culturally diverse population.
• Must be flexible to accommodate needs of program and client, including evenings and weekends.
• Exceptional understanding of evidence based practices.
• Able to be strengths based and trauma informed.
• Able to work with youth and families with behavioral and/or mental health concerns.
• Able to balance direct services with other responsibilities of the job including but not limited to meetings and paperwork.
