Job Summary
Performs assessment, diagnostic evaluation, crisis intervention, case management, and therapeutic services for individuals, families, and groups with substance abuse issues; provides community consultation and education and staff orientation and training; assists in team supervision and participates in the planning, development, and implementation of services as part of the ACT Team.

- Knowledge of various modes of psychotherapy and evidence-based practices, especially crisis intervention and short-term models using individual, group, and familial approaches.
- Skill in assessment procedures, diagnostic evaluation, therapeutic treatment, and case management practices including follow-up and closure.
- Ability to establish therapeutic alliance with patients and their families.
- Ability to work effectively on a multi-disciplinary team and with the public.
- Absorbs culture into assessment and treatment processes.
- Communicates effectively both orally and in writing.

- Formulates realistic, patient-centered treatment goals and evaluates progress toward goals.
- Knowledge of developmental needs of population served.
Job Requirements
- At least a Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a behavioral health-related field.
- Current New Mexico license in the field of counseling, social work, psychology, Licensed Substance Abuse Associate Counselor (LSAA), or Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (LADAC).
- Preference will be given to individuals with training or experience in integrated treatment for co-occurring disorders.
- Must maintain a clean driving record, valid driver’s license, and current car insurance.
- Must submit to LCDF required background check, TB screen, and drug testing.
