Job Summary

In a team setting, performs assessment, diagnostic evaluation, crisis intervention, case management, and therapeutic services for individuals, families, and groups with behavioral health issues.

• Knowledge of various modes of trauma-informed therapy and evidence-based practices, especially crisis intervention
• Skill in assessment procedures and diagnostic evaluation, using cultural humility as a lens
• Ability to establish therapeutic alliance with patients and their families while maintaining appropriate boundaries
• Ability to work effectively on a multi-disciplinary team and with the public
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• Actively seeks feedback and supervision, and engages in personal reflection and self-correction
• Has a high level of self-awareness related to professional relationships
• Knowledge of ethical principles and state laws and adheres to state reporting and regulatory guidelines
• Formulates realistic, developmentally appropriate, patient centered treatment goals and evaluates progress toward goals

Requirements

• Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a behavioral health related field
• Current New Mexico license in the field of counseling, social work, psychology
• At least two years’ experience working directly with youth and their families
• Must maintain a clean driving record, valid driver’s license, and current car insurance
• Must submit to LCDF required background check, TB screen and drug testing
