Therapeutic Specialist - HBV - Houston Medical Center/New Orleans
About the role
The Therapeutic Specialist, HBV is responsible for representing Gilead's products and services to healthcare practitioners within a defined geographic area. This role focuses on generating and growing sales, providing disease awareness information, and maintaining relationships with healthcare practices.
Responsibilities
- Represent Gilead's products and services to healthcare practitioners in the assigned territory.
- Generate and grow sales by consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Provide timely delivery of disease awareness information, clinical updates, and healthcare changes to healthcare practices.
- Develop an understanding of the issues and opportunities unique to each geography.
- Promote the appropriate use of Gilead products to healthcare professionals in accordance with corporate, PhRMA, and OIG guidelines.
- Actively promote the appropriate use of Gilead products to healthcare professionals in accordance with corporate, PhRMA, and OIG guidelines.
- Partner with Medical Scientists, National Account Managers, Therapeutic Center Specialists, Marketing, and other internal Gilead team members.
- Collaborate with outside partner companies to co-promote products or services.
- Assist in the identification and resolution of issues and opportunities and communicate proactively to marketing and sales management.
- Ensure all department personnel are fully informed of, and in compliance with Gilead commercial compliance policy, all applicable federal and state laws and guidance relating to product promotion and information dissemination including, but not limited to, the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, the Food and Drug Administration's implementing regulations, the Federal Anti-Kickback Statute, the False Claims Act, PhRMA, Corporate Code of Business Conduct and the Office of the Inspector General's Compliance Program Guidance for Pharmaceutical Manufacturers.

Requirements
- 5+ Years with BS/BA OR 3+ Years with MS/MA
- Brief description of preferred qualifications
Qualifications
- BA or BS degree
- A minimum of 4 years of pharmaceutical sales experience and 2 years specialty pharmaceutical experience
- Prioritizes and executes tasks with minimal supervision
- Proven and consistent track record of meeting/exceeding sales objectives, preferably in specialty markets
- Previous product launch experience in a highly competitive environment

Benefits
The salary range for this position is: $115,260.00 - $149,160.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
