Therapeutic Recreation Therapist (Per Diem)

About the Role

This role involves organizing and conducting therapeutic recreation activities designed to enhance residents' sensory, motor, cognitive, and psychosocial skills. You will plan and implement both group and individual sessions, document assessments and progress, and manage care plan data.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct therapeutic recreation activities for individuals and groups.
• Document resident assessments, progress, and care plan data.
• Ensure resident safety during activities and community outings.
• Maintain and manage inventory of therapeutic equipment.
• Transport residents to and from activities and outings.
• Participate in staff meetings and contribute to team discussions.
• Demonstrate leadership and mentor residents in therapeutic settings.
• Facilitate group processes and assess residents' needs and progress.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or a related field.
• Certification as a Therapeutic Recreation Director (TRD) or Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS).
• Valid driver’s license.
