The preferred candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, good follow‑through skills, ability to prioritize multiple tasks, excellent leadership and supervisory skills, patience, tact, enthusiasm, a positive attitude toward residents and their support networks, and innovation in finding creative ways to meet diverse resident needs while maintaining a customer focus.
Responsibilities
- Plan, control and execute the provision of therapeutic recreational services to all residents in accordance with federal, state and local standards.
- Ensure the highest quality recreation program is provided.
- Assist in the development of a full range of therapeutic recreational programs and activities for all residents, considering physical and emotional limitations and individual interests.
- Ensure observance of religious days, social events, national holidays and traditional celebrations when planning the residents’ calendar of events.
- Utilize community support to establish volunteer programs and intergenerational events.
- Encourage resident participation in therapeutic recreational activities.
