Experience

To manage a team of lifeguards and other pool staff, I have overseen the scheduling, training, and performance evaluations of approximately 10 lifeguards and aquatics assistants each year. I conducted regular meetings to discuss safety protocols, emergency procedures, and individual performance. I also organized in-service training sessions focusing on new policies, equipment updates, and first aid techniques.

Knowledge of Pool Water Chemistry

I am knowledgeable in pool water chemistry and its impact on swimmer safety. I regularly test chlorine levels, pH, and other parameters to ensure they meet the recommended standards. I understand the importance of proper filtration and sanitation practices to prevent the growth of harmful bacteria and algae. I also monitor water temperature and adjust accordingly to maintain comfort levels for swimmers.

Training Lifeguards and Swim Instructors

In addition to my own training, I have led in-service training sessions for lifeguards and swim instructors. These sessions included CPR/AED, first aid, and water rescue techniques. I have also participated in annual renewals and audits to ensure compliance with local and national regulations.

Customer Service

A memorable instance was when a patron complained about a slow response time from the pool staff. I personally addressed the issue, apologized for the inconvenience, and ensured that the patron's concerns were resolved promptly. This experience reinforced the importance of excellent customer service and quick problem-solving in maintaining a positive pool environment.
