Texas Oncology - Midland is seeking a full-time, team-oriented Certified Medical Physicist (MS or PhD) to join our team. About the Role

Come join our team that is responsible for helping lead Texas Oncology in treating more patients diagnosed with cancer than any other provider in Texas.

Facilities and Equipment

The Texas Oncology- Midland practice provides a full range of external beam radiation therapy procedures. Equipment in use at the Midland location includes:

  • Varian TrueBeam
  • GE RT Lightspeed CT scanner
  • Elekta microSelectron HDR
  • Oncentra TPS for HDR treatment planning
  • Eclipse TPS
  • MOSAIQ ROIS
  • RadCalc
  • Mapcheck3
  • SNC Routine
  • IC Profiler
  • 3DS scanning system

Responsibilities

Preferred experience includes a working knowledge of:

  • Varian linear accelerators
  • Elekta/Nucletron microSelectron HDR afterloader and Oncentra TPS
  • Eclipse TPS
  • ARIA and MOSAIQ Record and Verify system
  • HDR, SBRT, and SRS procedures
  • Radiation Safety Officer duties for both x-ray registration and RAM licenses

Requirements

The successful candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Medical Physics from an accredited college or university
  • Graduate from a CAMPEP-accredited residency program
  • ABR board certification (or equivalent)
  • Full Texas licensure
  • HDR planning and treatment experience
  • Experience with SRS, SBRT, and HDR
  • Strong organization and oral/written communication skills
  • Ability to travel occasionally to support the sister clinic in Odessa, Texas (20 miles)
