About the role
The Therapeutic Courts Program Manager is responsible for managing Therapeutic Court programs, including Adult Felony Drug Court, Veterans Court, Family Recovery Court, and Mental Health Court. This role involves planning, administering, monitoring, and evaluating all functions of these programs, as well as coordinating with judicial officers, attorneys, criminal justice officials, treatment professionals, and the community.
Responsibilities
- Manage Therapeutic Court programs, including Adult Felony Drug Court, Veterans Court, Family Recovery Court, and Mental Health Court.
- Plan, direct, and evaluate the work of assigned staff.
- Coordinate treatment court activities with judicial officers, attorneys, criminal justice officials, treatment professionals, County officials, and the community.
- Research and prepare program literature, applications for grant funding, and required reports.
- Conduct research related to programs, best practices, and training in therapeutic courts; coordinate and facilitate training and professional development.
- Serve as an active member of the Therapeutic Court team and work closely with the judicial officer to ensure policies are followed, participant needs are addressed, and program standards are met.
- Oversee the collection and recording of participant treatment compliance and criminal history data; maintain database and records to document and monitor caseloads, client demographics, compliance, and program results.
- Prepare, organize, and implement program budget, record keeping, and statistical information; monitor contracted service provider requirements and expenditures.
- Confer with various boards, officials, and professionals on the status of participants, conduct home visits.
- Network with community agencies and develop relationships with stakeholders throughout the community through speaking engagements, participation on various committees and boards, and utilizing media resources.
- Resolve sensitive or complex inquiries or service complaints.
Requirements
- One (1) year of experience in a supervisory or lead position.
- A valid Washington State driver’s license.
- Two (2) years of experience in a court environment involving case assessment, case management, interviewing, and social service delivery.
Qualifications
- An Associate’s degree in legal, criminal justice, or related field.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work (preferred).
- A license to practice counseling/mental health in WA state (preferred).
- Experience with grant administration (preferred).

- Knowledge of: Substance use treatment services, Veteran services, and mental health services in Mason County and Washington State.
- Judicial and criminal justice system.
- Computer programs, database queries, and usage.
- Budgetary practices and procedures.
- Grant funding and application procedures.
- Legal requirements, regulations, and laws applicable to therapeutic courts.
- Management principles and practices.

Pay
$70,493.76 - $88,037.04 Annually
Schedule
Mondays through Fridays, typically 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
