Theatre Manager

Theatre Managers assist the General Manager in operating the theatre and also perform the duties of a Senior Assistant Manager. It is suggested that either the General Manager or Theatre Manager be on duty when the theatre is open. Theatre Managers participate in team member training, management team training, building maintenance, cash control, and report completion. They must be able to perform or effectively oversee all job functions in the theatre.
Responsibilities
- Follow the direction of the General Manager and support their decisions in communication with team members
- Work in all departments and perform all theatre job functions
- Act as the ‘Manager On Duty’ in the General Manager’s absence
- Train and coach team members in their specific job functions
- Assist in the preparation of administrative and special reports for the General Manager
- Assist the General Manager with monthly inventories and product orders
- Inspect the theatre building, parking lot, landscaping, Cinemark property, roof, exterior signage, and equipment condition; report repair needs to the General Manager
- Follow and enforce Cinemark’s policies and procedures consistently and fairly
- Report and handle employee relations issues as directed by the General Manager or via www.convercent.com in their absence; follow the Employee Relations Reporting Protocol
- Maintain high work ethic standards and code of conduct
- Ensure team members follow the dress code and provide excellent customer service
- Interact with guests to improve service in the theatre
- Identify and sanitize high-contact areas for employees and guests
- Address safety or security issues (e.g., trip hazards, lighting, suspicious persons) and utilize Personal Protective Equipment as required
- Adapt to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School or G.E.D. graduate preferred
- Minimum of 6 months experience as an Assistant Manager in a theatre environment; Senior Assistant Manager experience preferred
- Completion of Cinemark’s Management Accreditation Program and passing of the Comprehensive Assessment testing process
- Completion of basic food handling training and obtain any local or state mandated certification, health card, or food handlers permit where required
- Completion of a Safe Alcohol Service training program for management members working with alcohol
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays; must work at least 40 hours per week
- Regular and consistent attendance
- Energetic and friendly attitude during each shift
- Excellent guest service skills
- Accurate cash handling and basic math skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate (verbal and written) with all ages, genders, and personalities; must effectively and regularly converse in and comprehend English
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently
- Ability to take and follow direction and respond with a sense of urgency
- Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to train and lead others and resolve conflict
Physical and Environmental Requirements
- Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Frequent standing, walking, and reaching around the theatre
- Moderate to high noise levels at times
- Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods

Pay
Pay Range: $70,304.00 - $87,098.62
