About the role
Cinemark Theatre Managers assist the General Manager in operating the theatre and perform the duties of a Senior Assistant Manager. It is suggested that either the General Manager or Theatre Manager be on duty when the theatre is open. Responsibilities include team member training, management team training, building maintenance, cash control, and report completion. Theatre Managers must effectively oversee or personally perform all job functions in the theatre.
Responsibilities
- Follow the direction of the General Manager
- Support General Manager’s decisions in communication with Team Members
- Work in all departments and all theatre job functions
- Act as the ‘Manager On Duty’ in the General Manager’s absence
- Train and coach Team Members in their specific job functions
- Assist in the preparation of administrative and special reports for the General Manager
- Assist the General Manager with monthly inventories and product orders
- Inspect the theatre building, parking lot, landscaping, Cinemark property, roof, exterior signage, and equipment condition
- Report the need for building, property, and equipment repairs to the General Manager
- Follow and enforce Cinemark’s policies and procedures consistently and fairly
- Report Employee relations issues to the General Manager or via www.convercent.com in their absence
- Adhere to the Employee Relations Reporting Protocol and maintain high work ethic and code of conduct standards
- Ensure Team Members follow the dress code
- Interact with Guests to improve service and ensure Team Members provide excellent Customer service
- Consistently identify and sanitize Employee and Guest high-contact areas
- Address safety or security issues (trip hazards, lighting, suspicious persons, etc.)
- Properly utilize Personal Protective Equipment while completing position-specific tasks
- Adapt to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School or G.E.D. graduate preferred
- Must work as an Assistant Manager for a minimum of 6 months in a theatre environment
- Senior Assistant Manager experience preferred
- Completion of Cinemark’s Management Accreditation Program and passing of the Comprehensive Assessment testing process
- Complete basic food handling training and obtain any local or state-mandated certification, health card, or food handlers permit where required
- Management members who work with alcohol must complete a Safe Alcohol Service training program
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays (must work at least 40 hours per week)
- Regular and consistent attendance
- Energetic and friendly attitude during each shift
- Provide excellent Guest service
- Accurate cash handling and basic math skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate (verbal and written) with all ages, genders, and personalities; must effectively and regularly converse in and comprehend English
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently

- Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail

Physical and Environmental Requirements
- Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Frequent standing, walking, and reaching around the theater
- Noise level may be moderate to high at times
- Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods of time

Pay
Pay Range: $53,037.48 - $66,296.85
