Theater Teacher - Part Time Position/Intern

About the role

Part-time Elementary Drama Teacher position perfect for college students or individuals with flexible schedules. This rewarding opportunity allows you to gain teaching and classroom management experience while working with children aged 6 to 11. Teachers must be available between 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm on school days and have reliable transportation.

Paid training begins immediately, preparing you to start teaching as soon as possible. We especially need teachers in Dublin, Powell, and Lewis Center.

Responsibilities

• Teach two or more classes per week during the school year in the afternoon, primarily from 3 PM - 5 PM
• Teach and mentor students from 6 to 11 years of age in 1-hour classroom sessions
• Follow provided lesson plans on speech, movement, and acting
• Commute to various schools and locations in northern Columbus

Requirements

• Have a heart for kids and a passion for education or theater
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• High energy and flexibility
• Available Monday - Friday, 3 PM - 5 PM
• Willing and able to commit for at least one school year
• Reliable transportation

Theater and teaching experience is a plus but not required.

Pay

$35 per hour class.
