About the role
Theater Security Cooperation POL/MIL Analyst supports USCENTCOM J5 in planning and engaging for the theater campaign plan/order, ensuring alignment with national strategies.
Responsibilities
- Engage with OSD, Joint Staff, interagency, and other Combatant Commands to integrate national strategies into theater security cooperation plans.
- Provide country/region political-military analysis and advice to key leader engagements, boards, bureaus, and working groups.
- Frequent travel to support CENTCOM Commander, deputy commander, J5, and other principal's key leader engagements.
- Employ joint planning processes, operation design, and deliver briefings to 3-Star and 4-Star general/flag officers.
- Liaise and collaborate with OSD, Joint Staff, other Combatant Commands, Component Commands, and USG agencies.
- Deliver country-specific Pol-Mil subject matter expertise to commanders and staff during theater travel and key leader engagements.
- Facilitate/lead working-level conferences and monitor bilateral plans.
- Support USCENTCOM Assessment lead for CCP effects and success criteria.
- Collect and analyze assessment data, coordinate findings/summaries, and present results to CDD.
- Participate in CCP revisions and LOE working groups to support objectives, IMOs, effects, and success criteria.
- Assist Lead TSC Planner in developing, assessing, and refining SC plans, strategic guidance, and other SC products.
- Participate in various working groups and OPTs, including PRAC, IAMD Working Group, and LOE Working Groups.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited college/university
- Minimum of ten years of experience in the Security Cooperation field
- Demonstrated knowledge of DoD mission and functions
- Self-starter with initiative and ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Security Cooperation Workforce Certification
- Advance certifications recommended but not required
