Responsibilities
- Prepare and provide professional beverage service to all guests and cocktail staff in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner.
- Input and ring-up charges for guest orders using the POS system; create checks, process payments, and return change as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of guest areas and equipment, including removing empty glasses/bottles, cleaning ashtrays, emptying garbage, sweeping/mopping floors, and scrubbing/sanitizing equipment.
- Maintain proper and adequate bar setup daily, before, during, and after shifts (e.g., refilling chemicals, hand soap, ice, and beer bins).
- Respond to guest inquiries with a positive, clear speaking voice; answer questions and offer assistance to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Relay accurate information to guests regarding hours of operation, hotel services, local attractions, function rooms, car rentals, and airline shuttle service.
- Make constant contact with internal and external guests to provide optimal service.
- Perform any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.
Requirements
- Minimum one year of experience as a bartender or equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
- Knowledge of POS systems and experience in nightclub, bar, and lounge operations.
- Familiarity with liquor, beer, wine, and bottle service menus; knowledge of drink recipes.
- Basic reading, writing, math, and task-completion skills.
- Coordination, ability to follow instructions, memorization, problem-solving, independent judgment, and decision-making skills.
- Flexibility to work all shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends as business needs dictate.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must maintain a valid Gaming License and Alcohol Awareness card.
Physical Demands
- Constantly standing, walking, reaching overhead, bending, and occasionally crouching during shifts.
- Frequently pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Constant repetitive use of both feet and dominant hand; occasional use of non-dominant hand.
- Frequent light grasping and occasional firm/strong grasping motions; frequent finger dexterity in both hands.
- Constant use of vision abilities, including distance, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision.
Work Environment
- Work performed outdoors, alone, and frequently with others.
- Extended face-to-face interactions, including verbal contact, in possible confined areas around computer equipment and mechanical devices.
- Exposure to flame/heat-generating devices, moderate to loud noise levels, and potential extreme heat/cold, wet/humid conditions, vibrations, slippery surfaces, dirt/dust, odors, and secondhand smoke.
